Building Bonds, Restoring Strength, and Celebrating Leadership

At The Green House® Cottages of Homewood, we believe in fostering meaningful connections, empowering recovery, and celebrating the people who make our community so special. This past month has been full of heartwarming moments and exciting developments that reflect our commitment to care and community.

We’re thrilled to announce that Mena Middle School Leadership Students have officially been paired with their GHC Homewood residents for the school year. This intergenerational partnership is a beautiful way to build friendships, share stories, and create lasting memories. Our residents are excited to welcome these bright young leaders into their lives, and we can’t wait to see the joy and learning that will blossom from these connections.

In addition to nurturing relationships, we’re also focused on helping our residents regain strength and confidence. After a hospitalization or health event, it can feel daunting to return to the activities you once enjoyed. That’s why our rehab program offers a specialized program designed to help residents rebuild the skills and self-assurance needed to return home and re-engage with their community. Whether it’s grocery shopping, walking, cooking, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, we’re here to support every step of the journey.

August also gave us the opportunity to celebrate someone truly special—our amazing administrator, Vicki Hughes. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication to our residents and staff make a lasting impact every single day. Thank you, Vicki, for everything you do to make The Green House® Cottages of Homewood a place of warmth, care, and excellence. We are so grateful for you!
